2026 General Assembly Session

The Maryland General Assembly adjourned Sine Die on April 13, 2026 for its 449th Session. PSSAM’s testimony reflected our mission and chosen legislative priorities of all 24 superintendents.

While PSSAM does not publish formal legislative positions, we advocate on various issues surrounding education, including school construction, cybersecurity, student health, transportation, athletics, and other matters in a manner that best supports a diverse community of students, educational staff, and local education agencies.
