STRATEGIC PLAN

PSSAM, in collaboration with the Region 4 Comprehensive Center, developed and ratified a Strategic Plan in December 2023. The Strategic Plan set deliberate goals, with specific objectives and measurable key performance indicators to implement from 2024-2027. Over the next three years, PSSAM plans to work diligently towards ensuring success in meeting outlined key performance indicators in a timely manner, as well as to provide the best voice and vision in representing all of Maryland's students.
Our Purpose
PSSAM brings the unified voice of local school system superintendents to advocate for Maryland public school students and excellence in education.
Advocate for Public Policies
Advocate for legislation, policy, and regulation to support shaping an education system that recognizes the unique attributes of each school system and fosters improved outcomes for each student.
Leverage Strategic Partnerships
Leverage strategic partnerships and align efforts that support student learning and well-being.
Provide Member Support
Provide opportunities for networking and professional growth experiences to build relationships, support leadership retention, and drive continuous improvement of leadership practices.
Build Operational Excellence
Build operations, staffing, and infrastructure to maximize impact, expand funding streams, and foster shared accountability throughout the organization.
